What is Health Literacy Notepad?
Health Literacy Notepad (HLN) is a proposed weekly newsletter, born out of the desire to promote health, prevent diseases and protect lives. It is scribbled by yours truly to share lessons and knowledge with practitioners who care for patients and engage with the public.

Who is it really for?
I am aware that we will have those who work outside the healthcare space who may also be passionate about health literacy. However, at the moment, the brief insights shared here are currently prioritized for healthcare workers who interface with patients and the public. You know, I’m kinda taking it slow, because if you rush expansion, you will crash.

What should I expect to read weekly?
Simple. A few lines, which could range from personal/professional experience, tips from experts like you, relevant issues, and/or shared learning experience/resources on key issues involved in health literacy. The first and foremost goal is to share with health workers who want to help people/patients find, understand & interpret health information, for healthy choices. Most importantly, I think I should tell you a secret: I do not know the end from the beginning and I intend to grow wings as I fly. I intend to learn from you too. It is going to be a marathon, not a sprint. But be sure you’d have something to look forward to, as an addition to your day-to-day experiences interacting with patients.

How can I help make the best of HLN?
Here are various ways to do it.

  2. Ruminate and apply the necessary lessons learned from

  3. Share suggestions, feedback, and tips.
