*Clears cobwebs*
It has been a while here!
I had made up my mind in this tweet that I was going to come back on #HealthLitNotes with a rant. But then, it cannot be without acknowledging that a lot has happened to fuel the deafening silence here.
I have been working behind the scenes in public health communications. For the third time since I transitioned into this career path, I officially kickstarted the communications unit. I joined a public health nonprofit, early last year and the work never ends. Lol! I mean, being immersed in the process. That’s how we grow, isn’t it?
I’d thought this newsletter would be easier to continue to write weekly, seeing that I had already done a prior, tougher job of kickstarting communications in a health tech company. But each organization is unique and so the demands and needs requires unique approaches.
The past 16 months have been eventful. I have done a lot of learning and growing on my own and via collaborative intelligence within teams. Working with the amazing people in my team and supporting partners in our work towards advancing Nigeria’s health security, have also sharpened my skills, and widened my perspectives on the importance of collaboration in making impact on the health of Nigerians.
I do not want to go on and on and bore you with all the details in one episode. But be sure that I will resume sharing these rich lived experiences that has shaped the work I have done and still do with communicating health.
What would also you like to me teach you or talk about?
